Plane Crash at Ukraine


Ukraine Air Alliance flight 4050, an Antonov An-12, crashed on appproach to Lviv-Danylo Halytskyi International Airport, Ukraine.
The aircraft departed Vigo Airport, Spain about 22:30 UTC on October 3 on a flight to Lviv. There were 8 people on board: 7 crew members and one person accompanying the cargo.
About 03:35 UTC the aircraft was about 30 km south of Lviv. A weather report of 03:30 shows there was fog at the airport with a visibility of 800 meters and a vertical visibility of 200 feet.
Contact with the flight was lost at 06:48. One hour later the aircraft was found to have crashed in shrubs about 1,5 km short of runway 31.
As a result of the crash, 3 people were killed, 5 people were injured, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
