Rabindra Adhikari, the tourism minister of Nepal on his visit to Terathum district to observe the site of purposed airport had a helicopter crash on his return. All seven passengers on board including the pilot were confirmed dead. On this context Yogesh Bhattarai, a youth leader from Communist Party of Nepal has put forward a strong status on his wall.

In earlier cases, during VIP flights, only 7 people in total (including the pilot) were allowed to fly. In case of extra passengers some were landed in Suketar or Taplejung Bazar but yesterday despite bad weather and 7 passengers on board excluding the pilot, why was the flight allowed to take off? Time asks the answer to this.

Yogesh Bhattarai also wrote an emotional message to his fellow leaders who died in this circumstance.

“Dear friend, I am speechless, I won’t accept this, come and tell me on your own.”

Travelling through plane is convenient but dangerous at the same time. The topography and constant climate change of Nepal can be obstacles for flights. Nepal has lost thousands of future skills of the country in the 1992 Thai Air crash and Pakistan International Airlines and several such international airlines crashes. The real question here is why is Nepal facing the problem of poor safety of air crafts and deathly circumstances in recent years? Nepal’s poor air safety record is largely blamed on inadequate maintenance and sub-standard management.
